Saying your character isn't affected by alcohol and then having her be suddenly drunk moments later because it's the only way you can move your plot along is shitty writing.

This is literally the worst possible time to attempt to descale yourself. Literally the worst.

Why write about something interesting when you can stuff it in between details of dragon bowel movements?

I've literally heard nothing but good things about this series but in my opinion, all the best bits are sandwiched between dragon goobedlygook and boring descriptions. Pick up the goddamn pace, dragon assassins!

Man, this book drops you right into the world and that makes everything read like gobbledygook. I rarely say this but I could use more exposition.
