I don't understand why the fascists would so insist that dissenters not be allowed to flee the country; they can only stir up trouble from inside, and if they do they're killed & the story silenced... Just let 'em go and save the hassle and the bullets!

While hintingly reminiscent of Ayn Rand before, everything post-election has been as preposterous and tiresome as the nation's rapid decline in Atlas Shrugged, and this book is rapidly sinking to that level of loathsomeness. Ugh.
