ugh nvm 10% later and this got worse. it’s almost 4 am and i was gonna push through and finish this but i’d rather sleep now. i have 40% left but i’m sensing i’ll be giving this 2-stars 🥲

Oh that’s such a bummer! And I’m so sorry!! I did love this one, to me it’s one of the best enemies to lovers around and I loved the small town setting. I’m curious as to why you are not enjoying it, Elena

I’m curious as to why you are not enjoying i..."i’m really hoping the remaining half picks it up and changes my whole view. my displeasure mostly comes from how i’m feeling about the romance, as i feel there hasn’t been any tension between the two, let alone chemistry. like, i’m halfway through and while i’m all for this snarky and hateful banter, there’s only been physical attraction so far and nothing between the two that shows a separate attraction, or that tension that makes it go from dislike to like. i also feel like i barely know these two, so i wonder how things will change in this second half, and how they’ll get to know each other better to start showing some growing fondness. also, there haven’t been any hints for lachlan having character development. however, that’s why i’m still remaining hopeful it’ll change how i feel with this second half. i do like how the enemies to lovers has been executed though! could have definitely done without the usual “i hate him but he’s so hot” but this trope unfortunately will never be enough for me lol. i’ll admit though and say the true dislike is quite the breath of fresh air. i love logan though, and percy!! one of the scenes with him and easton made me cry. 😭
