Since I'm writing a letter currently on child soldiers and whether they deserve amnesty or not this book has really helped in solidifying my state on this topic, as I always thought they aren't really to blame and the way Ishmael has weaved his story agrees with my view on it. It's a really great book.

Wow, the language in this book is so powerful, it is direct and simple yet so moving. He narrates the story brilliantly and it's really moving. It's an amazing book.
