(477/516) Ari’s dad died ☹️. I like how they discuss gay topics more openly in this book. Also I’m glad Ari has his support system to help him after the dad died. Also the teacher read his journal and found out he was gay. But he was okay with it. I wish that wasn’t the surprising reaction in 1989. This books makes me think about my own identity and how people won’t accept me. But it’s so gooood.
