In this chapter, John goes and finds the janitor with Nate and Summer. He has a special key they are looking for. When they go to his house there is this evil guy name the Fuse he literally wraps them up and tortures them. This is showing he is evil. He says, ''get the straightjackets and the vines'' (395). Thee two things squeeze them so tight. This is showing he is evil.

In this chapter, the kids are trying to find a secret key. The custodian at there school named Mr. Haggs is hiding it. He is brutal and sick. He says, ''if i give you the key and you put it in the cold my family will freeze, if you put it in the warm my family will get feverish and if you put it under
water my family won't be able to breath''(287). He wraps Pigeon with rope. This shows he is brutal and evil.

One example of figurative language in my book was a simile. Nate said, that bubble is 3D and circular like a baseball and looks like a eye spying on us'' (284). This shows that Mrs. White is spying on them and trying to take the treasures away.

In this chapter, the kids have a substitute named Mr. Dart. He is a spy that helps the kids look up on Mrs. white and Mr. Stott. Mr. Dart is very evil because the kids asked what happened to their original teacher and he said she was sick. Then later he says, '' I went to her house and tied her up and locked her in a closet'' (277). He also kidnaps Denny a bully. This shows he is very evil.

In this chapter, Nate has a dream about a Indian. He has a dream that the Indian steals the ''Stargazer.'' But the ''Stargazer'' doesn't get stolen. Also he has a substitute named Mr. Dart who spied on him when he was at the museum. Nate is very worried he says, ''Mr. Dart can I come up to your desk and talk to you about the candy and magicians''(265).

In this chapter, the three kids steal the ''Stargazer''. They take it out of the museum without getting caught. They brought it back to Mr. Stott and he wad so happy. He said, Finally! It's mine and not that evil Mrs. White's (260). This shows he was really happy.

In this chapter, the kids try to steal the ''Stargazer'' and take it home. When they get it in the hands they realize the alarm is beeping and red flashing lightsout the window, it's the police. They get very scared, and then they crash into bullies named Eric and Denny. Eric and Denny want the ''Stargazer'' but they don't get it. The kids are thieves, Eric and Denny say, ''You guys are thieves'' (254).

In this chapter, Nate and all his friends go to Mr Stott's house and give him a teleidscope. They give him a teleidscope to spy on Mrs White. Nate is a warm-hearted person because when Trevor goes missing he wants him back. ''He says I see Trevor in the mirror I want him back''(224).

The theme in this book is to never take or do things strangers tell you to do. In this book Mrs White is a stranger at a candy shop and the four kids barely know her. She is malicious. The reason she is malicious is because she tells them to go to Mr. Stotts house and see what he is up to (220). This proves she is evil/malicious.
