That was lovely! What a hopeful ending. Very glad we got to see the whole family finally! Nothing like a crazy powerful saint demon family out for the general greater good for fun times. Knew Smith would reject the whole chosen one deal but it was still great & I loved how simple & obvious a choice it was without any fanfare, perfectly inline with his character. Somehow still a feel-good story despite the murder/war.

Oh! Smith might have a god dad or ancestor & thus is the chosen one to whatever this Key deal is. Also I just really love the characters & world. It's slice of life but so engaging. Nice to know at least two of the siblings are not idiots. Good fun. Some nice social commentary. Interesting to see how it all plays out.

Naval battle! Kraken? Punching! Storytime! Rescue mission? Will civilization come to an end or is it all a myth and metaphor for religion? No one knows, but it will probably be amusing. Love the worldbuilding and characters. Fun times.

And back! I hope we aren't without the ladies for long on this rescue mission ship. But the chaos is back full throttle. Wahoo! I don't know what else to say. It's just fun chaotic hijinks with some blatant social commentary and satire. You know, the usual.

I am putting this on pause for a moment before I start the third story since it is a good stopping point & I need to read & finish Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries before April 9th because it is a new popular book & is unlikely to be renewable & I would like to finish it in one go instead of waiting a week or more until I get it on hold again.

It was Mrs. Smith, bc she was actually involved in it all. Happy ending all around. On to the third story! Still enjoying the quirky characters & world. Characters who sometimes are annoying or petty but ultimately you like them bc they are ultimately good & care for others & step up when needed. A good reminder that characters should not be perfect & do not need to be to be likeable. Flaws make them likeable.

Talk about chaos. Now we have an idiot brother who seems to have never been off the mountain show up & there is a murder to be solved & some family parentage to figure out. Plus a lot more murder because that's what happens around here. Sex, drugs, & murder with quirky characters running an inn slice of life. What chaos. Could use more female characters though, since we are 2 out of 3 at the moment.

Definitely a slice of life story since we are now running an inn instead of running a caravan. But it is fun quirky hijinks with fun quirky characters so it is an enjoyable read, even with all the random sex & drugs. Not my brand of humor or interest but everything else makes up for it. I wonder if the inn is only going to last for the middle third before they need to find another occupation. Chaos shall be had.

Still no idea about plot but the characters & world are fascinating & diverting. It is also refreshing & a bit startling how casually sex is mentioned & how frequently it is brought up. Like it is perfectly normal & not some secret taboo scandalous act no one can talk about. Really like the characters & world. Want to know more about these Saint & Demon power couple parents & their kids & what they do.
