he was still mad about not being able to play, but he thinks he's able to play in the finals, and when he was talking to one of his friends/family he betted on the wrong team and lost money.

he was forced to sit out a game and his team won and he was very surprised,and before the game he promised someone that if their team won, he would go to a party

the main character was talking about how one of them has another 2 years to win a state championship, but another person could be going homeless after the school year, if they lose horribly because of season performance.

they were talking about getting jobs and one of them said "-what? flipping burgers? that's not about to pay any real bills-"

they had planned on playing video games for hours without being interrupted, and the cousin didn't approve and they called him "the black hole of happiness".

they were having a conversation with one of their friends, and they were arguing because of their friend moving away from their school, and changes the subject to one of their basketball games.

one of the characters in the book had joined the cheer team,and someone is getting teased by some of the people and said "is that your girlfriend".
