Bree is now facing the war that is coming, now that all of the knights have been awakened. She is the product of a slave being raped in the previous generations, whose master carried the line of Arthur. Nick is apart of the Lancelot family because the master's wife cheated with the Lancelot line. I feel like there is some tension between Bree and Sel, and I can't wait to read the next book to see how it develops.

While Bree is with Evan and Fitz to find where the fighting is happening, and also where Excalibur is, Evan is revealed to be a demon that mimics human behavior. Bree finds the fighting, and Nick is called by Arthur. However, when he tries to pull Excalibur, it does not budge. Bree is visited by the oldest mother and the truth about her bloodline is revealed. Bree is able to pull Excalibur.

Bree is apart of an early college program, and on her first night of campus, she witnesses an magic attack. She joins a secret society called the Order, who is full of Bloodcrafters. Her mother died, and it was just revealed that her family has a tie to bloodcrafting, though her heritage is full of rootcrafters. She ends up being possessed by her ancestor at the part where I'm currently at to findoutmoreaboutherpast.
