I predict that in my book, Lena, will learn to love Alex. She has shown signs of starting to get the disease, which by doing this she will learn that it's not a disease at all.

Emma M.
is finished
Finishing the book, Delirium, I didn't like the ending. Although, I had expected something to happen because it would have been impossible for them both to escape, and he wouldn't let her die. I just wish that there was a small chance he could survive, and that they would meet up at the end of the book. He was the only one who loved her, and she loves him.

Currently, Lena's conflict is that she is now imprisoned. Her life is being ruined right in front of her, and her relationship with Alex will soon end. Just because of being at the house on 37 Brooks street she got caught, forever being judged as being like her mom, having rebellious thoughts.

Lena's mom plays a major part in the book even though she is a supporting character. All her life Lena has been told that her mom was a physco, that she had amor deliria nervosa (the disease of love). Before Lena thought it was a bad thing, but now she knows the truth. Now beginning to experience love herself Lena understands that her mom was absolutely okay, and especially happy.

Right now, in Delirium, Lena is stuck in a small cabin with Alex after the raid. She is injured and they just shared their first kiss which changed her world. She also doubts the government because of what they did to Riley (her neighbors dog.)

One thing I noticed in my book while reading was that the main character, Lena, is starting to change. In the book, Delirium, love is considered to be a disease; when the people of the town reach their 18th birthday they have to undergo a surgery which removes any feeling of love. Right now Lena is starting to experience the feeling of love for a boy, named Alex and she still has 93 days before she gets the cure.
