A bit of a passage of time issue here, I think Sunday must have been at least 48 hours long.

She's been gaslighting him so long he just instinctively rolls over now. Also, funny how those two specific women give off a stereotypical lesbian vibe, (and Valery gets on with the second instantly, despite the complications), but Pulley never spells anything out which kind of seems like a fail if they're that way for the reasons I'd infer.

Guess I'm just reading this again back to back like a kindergartener.

Weird to read a Pulley book without any supernatural element. (So far anyway.) Interestingly, she's signalling the gay more clearly than any of her other books, (the six letter f word has even appeared), but the potential of any relationship/sex/intimacy seems further away than it felt in any of her other books.

Can you say, "autistic coded"???
Best recent line: "he had a proper coat on, hands sunk into his pockets. It was the standard officer coat, light grey, but it was tailored, or else he was exactly the shape whoever had designed it had hoped people were."

I hope he gets a mutant rat friend. :) 16% seems high for what's happened so far. Eyebrow raise at the place being called "lighthouse" (see Kingdoms). It's Pulley, so I'm guessing KGB-Swhatever will be the love interest, (the names are going to kill me) and Dr. Red Shoes will be the vile embodiment of misogyny that threatens our cinnamon-rolls because female. Tho there are 2 women already, so maybe the other?
