Magnus vs. Valentine Stuff is getting real!

"You summoned me when you were searching for a demon who cursed a shadowhunter? Bill Herondale?" "Will Herondale," said Magnus Stop mentioning Will! My heart hurts!

I am gaining new respect for characters I was iffy about before.

"I never get attached to Nephilim!" Magnus protested Ragnor coughed, and in the midst of the cough said something that sounded like "blerondale." "Well," said Magnus "Hardly ever."

Going through Magnus's timeline just brings all the feels. Characters I love are now dead. I understand but if I flip a few pages back I can see them grinning and being quite cocky.

It is refreshing to get a downworlder's point of view.

Oh god that was interesting and painful to read. I am so happy Will is Will. That the 25 bloody years have not changed him. Now onto the rise of the hotel dumort..... After I gather all the feels scattered across the room!

This novella is affecting me the most. Will's humour, Tessa's strong heart, even Jem (who I don't really like) is tugging at my emotions. James Herondale, he is so cold and apathetic. In ways he IS his father's son. Trust me he is. But not in very prominent others. I got a Sebastian vibe off of him when he spoke. Still, I am very intrigued with his character! So very intrigued!

Magnus on James "... And was shouting 'ducks, embrace me as your king!'" Will's reaction "dear god, he must have been vilely drunk. Tessa, I can bear it no longer. He is taking awful risks with his life and rejecting all the principles I hold most dear..." Oh my sweet goodness I love Will!
