Have you ever just known that a certain someone should not be in a relationship with someone else? Yes? Me too. Here is the thing: We may be right on and even discerning the information to be correct, but we must pray for that person’s eyes to be opened instead of heading straight into their space and confronting them regarding their terrible choice.

If someone is going to take action based on a word I gave or something I said, without seeking confirmation from the Lord, then that person is the one responsible for the choices that follow. That individual has as much of a responsibility to lay the word on the altar as I do to hear from God and seek His thoughts on the matter.

Since the Bible is a primary way God speaks, we need to begin to read it with a fresh new perspective. As we read Scripture, remember you are not just reading it for yourself; you are reading to impart to others. Ask God to give you eyes to see and a heart to know when others may need to be encouraged by a particular verse, story or concept found in the pages of Scripture.
