I was hoping the Danes/Vikings would win lol Ragnor, Uhtred, and Ravn were my faves. I'm not sure if I want to read more in this series, if it sings praises to King Alfred. I am indifferent to his character in this book. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if the Danes won the battle in real life.
