At 2 am he went to rescue her only to out her. She's now headed to her childhood home with funds from selling his spare wheels. On coach ride, stopped by man who wants little boy from coach. She stands up to him and gets shot in shoulder. King takes her to crazy doctor and cares for her at inn while she recovers and his father is possibly dying.

She pushed her duke of a brother-in-law into a Koi pond after he was cheating. She needed to flee. She tried to get a ride with King after he climbed out a window, but he refused even though she had his boot. So, she bought his footman and took his livery and rode on the outside of his coach... for 3 hours to a posting inn North. He scolded and dismissed her again in the posting yard.
