I am reading the book "The Mark Of Athena". I chose to read this book because I read the first five books in the first series and the I am now reading the the third book of the second series. Also I enjoyed all of the books so far because they all hook you in to the story. I also like learning about historical facts and this book is based off the Ancient Greek Gods.

I planning on basing my project on the “Book Fan” advocate. I have some ideas on making a survival guide for a character since many of the characters in my book and demigods.

In my book the Greek demigods from Camp Half-Blood find and visit the Roman demigods from Camp Jupiter. The Greeks took a great risk visiting the Romans because they hate each other and have negative history. When Leo maintains the Argo II while the other Greek demigods talk to the Romans, Gaea, the evil Earth goddess takes over Leo’s body. She started to control his motions and made it look like Leo was shooting

The theme of this book is having hope. In this book the prophecy, or oracle which shows you the future which is almost always accurate. The oracle is believed by all of the Greeks and Romans who are Gods and Demigods. One example of hope is when Percy and his friends go on a quest while trying to comprehend the oracle. Once they find out the horrible meanings they do their best trying to change the future. If t

The protagonist in the book The Mark of Athena is Percy Jackson. He has green eyes, brown hair and average height. Percy is also very funny, relaxed, fearless, and smart. The dialogue spoken can reveal the way a character reacts to something, how they think or process and their emotions towards situations. This quote shows that he is relaxed, "The other demigods stared at their pizza plates, except for Percy, who

Suspense is a state or feeling of excited or anxious uncertainly about what may happen. It also creates wonder, creativity and imagination throughout a story. Suspense can also hook the reader into a story to keep them reading. My author creates suspense by always having minor problems that makes you wonder if it has to connect with the major climax or even the resolution. Suspense can also give out hints of cert

My favorite part of the book "The Mark of Athena" is the beginning or exposition. I enjoyed this part because it is when all of the demigod heroes reunite with their friends, family and boyfriend/girlfriend. This part shows how emotional they were to see each other. The group of seven works together on their plan to convince the Roman Camp that Greeks and Romans can work together and fight against Gaea. She is t

Foreshadowing is to be a warning or indication of (a future event). An example of foreshadowing in my book is when the heroes have dream sent by Gods or Titans that show the future whether if it is bad or good. In my book the heroes see their reaction of what will happen next and how they will react to the situation. The future, the gods show them isn't always guaranteed. The heroes can change to by learning from

In "The Mark Of Athena" the perspective of the book is told from 3rd person. I know this because the text uses the words personal pronouns. Some personal pronouns used are it, he, she, they and them. A sentence thats supports this is "He had hoped they could just go back to the ship, and Hazel could teleport the Celestial bronze from a safe distance.

The protagonist of my book are the 7 demigods. The antagonist of my book is Gaea, the Greek earth goddess. In this book the 7 demigods who are chosen through the prophecy are trying to stop the earth goddess, Gaea arise from the dead. The demigods go on a quest coming face to face with many minor gods that slow them down along the way. They become enemies and alliances with some gods and create sides causing more

An example of an action verb is"… the horse's side and felt the muscles working like a well-oiled machine." Another example is "He realized fingers on his left hand were ablaze…" which is a sensory detail. Also they also describe Percy Jackson's eyes as blue as the sea because he is a son of Poesidon. The sensory details and colorful modifiers in my book describe the story more to make it seem like you are there.
