Super doormat MC's character inconsistency is getting on my nerves. She's doing the story-girl thing where she's behaving as if she knows she will live no matter what, and the most insanely doormatty that has ever been a doormat in the beginning, and now mysteriously hard-headed and feisty. Right.

I think this is the soonest I've ever added a book to my heroine hatred shelf.
Also, THIS IS THE SINGLE WORST HEROINE I HAVE EVER READ. I already have a hunch that the "character development" is going to irritate me. MC's spine is the consistency of a spaghetti noodle that has been boiled for about 12 days.

Well, that prologue was completely unnecessary. Could've easily weaved what little backstory there was into the story and had a much more exciting beginning with actual action.
