What is doing this book in:
🤺-Opening with a disjointed fight scene
🤷🏽‍♀️-Lack of a proper intro to the land Nami ran away to
😴- A narrator who sounds disinterested, and sleepy
🕵🏾-The appearance of characters the author knows we’ve never met, and receive no intro
😭- Nami is still trying to tell people who have been surviving without her, how to do things

Ok, now new characters are being spoken to but we as the readers have no idea who they are. This is REALLY taking me out of the story and distancing me from the plot. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE and WHY SHOULD I CARE? 😮‍💨🧘🏽‍♀️🧘🏽 Breathing it out, and continuing on.

Slow start. There’s a fight going on, but it’s seems more like a passive aggressive practice session than anything actually life threatening. Haven’t even finished the first chapter yet and it just feels haphazard and jumbled. I’m assuming the person narrating is Nami but I’m not. Honestly, from the way it’s written, I really don’t care what happens whoever this is. Hopefully things pick up.
