Status Update

Danielle is starting

It should be noted that I am extremely nervous to begin this book for several reasons. One is that I've listened to chapter one before and found it confusing and ridged to read. This, I think, is chalked up to the fact that it's translated but after reading some reviews, I begin to doubt. Another reason is I am afraid I (even with a hard science background) will have trouble understanding the science.

In the mood for a sci-fi. Can’t help but see the parallels between Cultural Revolution China and current America. The anti-intellectualism, anti-science, and violence are all hauntingly familiar. I really can’t blame Ye Wenjie for calling on a more powerful force to come end her suffering.
