In the mood for a sci-fi. Can’t help but see the parallels between Cultural Revolution China and current America. The anti-intellectualism, anti-science, and violence are all hauntingly familiar. I really can’t blame Ye Wenjie for calling on a more powerful force to come end her suffering.

Failed my exam by 1 point… Going to study super hard for the next two weeks for my retake.

Feeling better sick wise but now I’m having migraines again. Seeing the neurologist for a follow up tomorrow.. Wish me luck 🍀

Still feel sick but studying is consuming me. I can’t wait to be done with this exam. 😩

Don’t know if my lack of enthusiasm over the last few books I’ve read has been related to me being sick or them genuinely being lackluster. Need to find something worthwhile. Reading reviews of my next books up on my TBR to make my next decision.

I’m not sure what’s happening or what matters. It’s a shame, I’ve liked Bardugo’s other books well enough. Maybe this one is just a miss.

Um… so this is really boring so far. I’m going to power through it for now but I’m still really sick so if it gets to be too boring I’m going to definitely DNF.
