A significant moment in the book is when Max is trying to transform back into his magical form, but ends up agrueing with his mom abut him being trans. His mother doesn't believe him and still calls him by his dead name, this makes Max mad. what really ticks off Max is when his mother brings in his friends saying they are a bad influence on him. Max realizes that his mother isn't good, and starts to isolate himself.

If I was in this book, I would be a sidekick or partner in crime to Max the main character. I believe this because max and I share lots of qualities, and views. I also think I would help him learn and control his new powers better than his mother.
