This book should be a movie. It is that good. Why did I let this book sit on my TBR shelf for 3 months? The story is so original and spooky. I love it. It also has romance but it is definitely not a romance novel. Love it!

Why do some great books get such little publicity? I had friends over yesterday, but I was so into this book, I kept making excuses to run upstairs to my bedroom so I could read... just one more page! The book is so well written. I literally feel like I'm in Esperanza. Brilliant!

The story is very rich in detail, and beautifully written. Every character has a story and I love how the author drops hints regarding the mystery behind each character. Nomad the scrawny wolf-eyed lab is my favorite "side" character.
