I honestly was kinda worried when I started reading this tonight that I had skipped a book and this wasn’t actually the first in the series. The start of the book is detail packed setting up the important types of wizards, monsters, etc so read carefully and make yourself a cheat sheet if need be. I just finished chapter one which is mostly El’s inner monologue- here’s hoping chapter two has more dialogue.
