Prayers may be rewritten, but not leases. Hearts may revert to Rome, but the money never will.

My copy is a library discard marked '3 Week Checkout:, No Renewal.' No wonder they got rid of it so quickly. Even at my regular pace, this would take me a month to get through. To read, yes, but what is that without allowing to savor?

Didn't think I'd consider this 'compulsively readable,' but here we are.

'Are the arrests finished? Was he the last?'
'Yes, I think so.'
'Is it over, then?'
'Over? Oh, no.'

Only been looking forward to this for a decade. What could go wrong?
