Matthew, do the 'Agent Pendergast' books need to be read in order or can they be read as stand-alone stories? I have read Relic and am getting ready to read Reliquary, but there is a lot of good buzz about THIS book, I was hoping to dive in without having to complete the entire series. But...if I must :)

I mean . . . I *personally* think you are doing yourself a disservice by not reading them in order. So much backstory that is really cool. That being said, you could *in theory* read Bloodless as a stand alone, but I think you will miss out on a lot of the inside story.

Thanks Matthew! I will stay the course. "Reliquary" will be next! :)
