Well, there went my plans for the day...

I was right, it's gotten much more interesting. However, I am now wondering is there some reason Pulley always makes the gay relationship so sub-sub-subtextual that even when you're expecting/looking for it it feels like you might be imagining it? Is she trying to have her cake and eat it too with oblivious straight readers? Or is she just going for low-key and overshooting the mark by several miles?

So far, while not bad exactly, this hasn't really been engaging me like her previous books, but it feels like it's finally going to get interesting.
