the gladers are stuck in the scorch trails where they found teresa and she is alive but has been changed by the creators or at least that is what they think

they are in there because some person told then they have the flare and and if they complete the scorch trails the cure will be given anyone who stays behind will audmatically die and the portal open at 6 the next morning point they have 5 minutes for them to get in the scorch then they have 2 weeks to walk north for 100 miles north and get the cure otherwise they all die
