The first time I read this book and Eli went back to the Amish I literally was like… the only way this can have a happy ending is if he leaves again so that’s def what’s gonna happen. And then look what happened lol.

Not gonna lie, like 10 years after first reading these, they’re a tiny bit cringe. The think I like about them is the prose almost seems old fashioned? Interesting characters.
