I inherited Atkinson's complete works (when my mom unloaded five boxes of books in my driveway!) - I'd already started Life after Life, which I found infuriating and brilliant. When Will There Be Good News is similarly challenging - the plot moves backwards at least as much as forwards.. The character at the heart of it all, Joanna, is the only one we don't see from the inside out, only from others' points of view.
