So he was ‘Danny’ here in Elspeth’s neighborhood. A few times in the nearly two weeks he’d been hiding out here, he got the strong sense that, despite his shaved face, everybody who lived and worked on these few blocks knew precisely who he was and either didn’t care, or cared too much about Elspeth to make a fuss.

Well, it had been the way he’d always written back in the day, when it was just him and his guitar, and then he’d take the new song to his best friends, who’d love it, and they’d flesh out their own parts for their instruments.
Now, though, with mega-corporate studio execs in the mix, and focus groups, and market research, and all that happy crappy, songs got written by committee and on demand.

I don’t watch football either, Mei. But hubby is always watching Euro and World Cup. Even I didn’t look, I can hear his shouts from downstairs 🙄😂.

But this is Oxford and I lives in a quite area, so always rather quiet here. However I read the news, some hooligans had been arrested in London.
I don’t understand what the fuss about, England played well and equal with Italy, which only won by penalty. It’s a sport game, for goodness sake!! 🙄
