"So, what was your father like?" I asked as soon as I swallowed my food.
"Well, he left for the island when I was but a small child, it is not within my knowledge." Telemachus explained with despair.
"Do you have any memories of him, not even a single moment?" I questioned with great curiosity.
"Not really," He trailed off.
"I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you find him." I said with sincerity.

The main character, Telemachus, the son of Odysseus, from the beginning was plotted against, and disliked, due to his desire to find his father. The main people who made this judgement were his mother's suitors, since, if Odysseus returned, they would have no chance of marrying Telemachus' mother. They assumed that he was incapable and was going to either fail to return home safely, or to find his father.

The main character in my book, Odysseus, has perseverance and loyalty to his father. He has not seen his father since he was a small child, however, he still believes that he is out there somewhere and wants to bring him home. Rather than watch his mother's suitors eat their herds. However, Odysseus is overly confident and assumes that though he has never sailed before can search the oceans for his father.
