This is...not great. I am listeningto the audio and I think e is doing the best he can with the story he was given. The characters are off, for me. The dialogue is not adult enough and the inuendos are sad. The book blurb was so good - a political thriller this is not. Will keep listening.

Oof, sorry to hear it's such a disappointment so far. Hopefully the narration helps with the enjoyment a bit at least!

I knew the authors MO but i liked the blurb so went for it. I like my MCs to be a little more real (unless it's fantasy/paranormal) and for the story not to center on all the sex.
i am at the point in the story where the MCs are arguing about one of them "dating" a woman, practically engaged, yet it's not true. The dude just took her home! Bring on the misunderstanding-not willing to talk about what's really going on-you just used me for sex part. Oh brother. 😁

The fact that I can *perfectly* tell which kind of story you're reading just from that last paragraph. Yup, I can already feel your energy depleting... that sounds so draining! I'm sending you good vibes, Melissa. Hopefully you can finish this one without too much of a headache!

Yep, finished it without too much pain because i skipped most of the ending, maybe the last 20% and went to the epilogue. I think those good vibes worked because i had the best of luck after that one so thank you!!!!
