"The Wire Continuum" would have been an excellent story to end the collection. It's a synthesis of several other stories and running themes, but it's superior to any of them individually. On the whole, this was a great collection of stories from a wonderful and influential author.

It's interesting to think that Clarke probably figured "The Other Side of the Sky" was a rather conservative estimate of how much space development humans would accomplish in the 20th century. Here's looking to the 21st!

I think "Second Dawn" was the most interesting story in the collection so far. But the real gems have been the dispatches from the White Hart.

I take back what I said about being tired of the rockets and Moon colony stories. The final scene of "Earthlight" made it all worthwhile!

The rockets and Moon colony stories are getting a little tiresome (and more than a little repetitive).

It's interesting to see similar ideas, themes, and settings evolve through Clarke's short stories.
