Nate gets in trouble again and gets a bunch of detention slips. His teacher tells him that he had received more detention slips in one day than anyone else in the history of the school. That was when he realized that his fortune cookie had come true. I can relate to this when I also got a bunch of detentions in 3rd grade at schoot like Nate. Back then, I thought I was cool. I know now that I was a fool, not cool.

After Nate got caught forging an a signature of his dad to be excuse from school, he learned from his friend Francis that there was no test that day. Nate then went to lunch and got a fortune cookie from his friend which said that he would "surpass all others". I can relate to this because once I tried to fool my teacher in 3rd grade after forging my dad's signature on a test that I failed. I got caught.

Nate was so worried that he had a test that he was going to fail and then have to attend summer school. As a result, he forged his dad's signature on an excuse note which was caught by his friend Francis. This reminds me of when I was in fifth grade when I also faked being sick to get out of a test that I thought would take place in school that I didn't study for. I got caught faking being sick too.

The story is about a kid named Nate Wright who wakes up to another boring morning of his routine life - breakfast, an annoying sister and school. Nate gets to school to find his friends studying like crazy which makes him believe that they have a test in class that day. I can relate to this because in 5th grade, this happened to me. I go to School and saw my friends studying like crazy so I was very nervous!
