Ok, so far this series kinda feels like the hunger games but weird (the movies, I never read the books). You have the girl plucked from her normal life into a brand new situation, somehow ends up an icon of a revolution. The only way this differs too much is the politics in the first book, the superpowers (which make it so much cooler) and I'm decently sure the romance subplot is slightly better. I don't know though.

ok so right now there's a kind of battle scene going on and there's a character that gets introduced, but I feel like the situation is not used to the best of its ability, it's kind of anticlimactic. other than that, though, it's cool.
