Ok... I think I'm gonna make it. more desert, more battle, more characters but we're driving home now. should be some big payoffs... i'm definitely not reading the third one for some time tho...

The merchant in the desert storm? amazing. great idea for D&D. uber merchant makes a deal with angry god-like storm making person, gets sphere of protection, or so he says.....

Oh god.... this book is really long. I'm trying to make it... may not survive all these military battles... So many.
And why is the magic so random? ancient bone magic, all these warrens, wizards possessing demons, demons making human familiars, undead dragons working through wizards, tangible invisable hands on arm stumps. it's cool but i cant get a footing on how magic works
and so many f-ing characters oy!

Ooooo it's getting good! Still some random heretofore unexplained magic happening but whatever. Also, the factions are difficult to follow and to understand the intentions of. Maybe because I'm not flipping to the cast of characters or the maps anymore.
