I love group invitations and I do join lots of groups BUT if I've turned down your group invitation everyday for the past 6 days, there is a good chance I'm not going to join.

Sherri The first time I felt bad, at the sixth - not so much.

Leah LMAO! I've gone through the same thing for the past like week and a half! It sounds bad but it really kinda makes me want to unfriend that person.

message 5: by Catherine (new)

Catherine That's not bad. Nagging is not attractive in an internet friend. If you say no, that should be the end of it.

message 6: by Leah (new)

Leah That's what I'm saying! I mean, if I say no the first time, it's entirely likely that I actually mean no.

Catherine LOL

message 9: by Laura (new)

Laura I can understand inviting twice, but 6?! Really?
I have 3 people who have friend requested me 3 or more times, and it's the same thing, I keep turning them down. Most are creepy men with zero books in common with me.

message 10: by Catherine (new)

Catherine I haven't had any repeat friend requests. I have had ones that came out of the blue with no conversation and no books in common though.

I seem to have people friend request me for no reason. I approve their friendship, but they never seem to talk to me. Why did they request me in the first place?

LOLOL! Maybe the person forgets that you've been invited.

Michelle, the Bookshelf Stalker Maybe it worked. For the first time in 7 days, I didn't get the group invitation to join the group that I previously declined 6 times in a row.

message 13: by Leah (new)

Leah Catherine, that happens to me, too! Someone sends me a request, I accept and then they never even talk to me! Weirdos.

That's great, Michelle! Same here! I didn't get an invitation either, LOL ;P

Catherine I'm wondering if I should just go through and delete the ones I know I don't talk to. It feels really weird though. But I don't want a huge number of friends that I never talk to. What's the point of that? I'd rather have a smaller group. Even a comment now and then is fine. Just something!

message 15: by Leah (new)

Leah I was planning on doing that actually, Catherine. I've had to go through and delete people once before because it was just pointless. I mean, I have a group of people that I talk to all the time, and I'm good with that.

message 16: by Catherine (new)

Catherine Me too :)

message 17: by Leah (new)

Leah Just did that and it was quite freeing. LOL. There are probably still more people but that's for another time, LOL

message 18: by Laura (new)

Laura I've had a couple people I've deleted as friends who've later tried to friend me. Cracks me up every time...PQ Glisson the writer is one I've un-friended, and she's friend requested me like 3 times since. Honestly? I'd friend her again, but she pimps out book recommends of books she's never read and it's like 5 a day! I got sick of it!

message 19: by Leah (new)

Leah LOL! I know what you mean, Laurie. I actually still have her as a friend but I was considering un-friending because I'm sick of all the book recs. There's another one that I kept on too but that always sends me recs, and it's like 10 a day. No joke. I think I need to go back and un-remove, LOL
