do you ever get upset when you spend x amount of time reading a book and barely recall any of it?

most of the time it's not even a bad book for me!! my brain is just so pea-sized. it's so upsetting :') i read non-fiction books to educate myself and maybe talk with others but as soon as someone asks me what it's about i blank :/
