A significant moment in the book Durinda's Dangers is when the sisters freeze the wicket and sneak into her house. They find her diary in the and she wrote something like this that day:
Today I broke into the Huit's house to find Lucy's secret file to live forever. But when I found the file, it was empty.
This event is developing the conflict because now the 8's know that Mommy and the Wicket want to live forever.

I am reading a book called Durinda's dangers. 8 sisters have tragically lost their parents and they have been taking care of themselves. Each of them need to find their power that will help them run their household. Annie has already found that she ca think like an adult when necessary but recently, Durinda got angry and tapped Rebecca and Georgia 3 times. They then froze like statues and that's Durinda's power.

In Durinda's Dangers, the villan is the Wicket. She is always trying to spy on the sisters and she even broke into Mommy's science office. The caregiver in this story is Annie. She is such a caring person and is always running the household. She drives her sisters places, pretends to be Daddy, and does much more for them. These sisters are doing a great job taking care of each other during this challenging times.

In the book Durinda's dangers, the inciting incident is that the sisters' fridge has broke causing lots of food to go bad. They have to find a way to fix it. With no parents with a job, they may not have enough money to keep buying more food. I predict that more and more things in their house will break causing them to have to find a way to make money. But knowing the sisters, they won't give up.

After reading the first page of the book Durinda's Dangers, I knew that the eight sisters' parents are still missing and their lives weren't getting any easier. They are still in the third grade and running their household themselves. Annie was also saying that they have been trying to figure out why their neighbor Wiket was taking from Mommy's science room.
