For a book written in 2005, the allegory feels accurately prescient. RTC

I'm not really an opera fan, but this is such a great image.

I'm thinking the votes in this book might actually be a great way to government, even if The Government itself seems just as hamstrung as real world governments.
This is a bit of a slow read for me because the world is complex and takes some digesting. But it seems well worth it so far.

"It's pretty simple," she said. "I want you to reinvent science."
Aaron barked a laugh, but she didn't join in. His smile died, replaced by a quizzical frown. "Science was completed centuries ago," he said. "We know it all."
What a world to live in, where science has been completed! But now this is getting really interesting.

This was a little tough to get into, but I'm getting really interested in what happened to Livia and Aaron and its effect on them and this crazy world they occupy.

A friend of mine on another book forum reviewed this and it sounded very intriguing. So far I have no idea what the heck is going on, but it is all interesting.
