okay so i’ve been just taking it all in. and i’m disappointed to say the least. cath had so many opportunities to avoid their untimely fates. she didn’t listen to hatta and look where that got them. jest dead. her queen of hearts. hatta mad. and raven an executioner. she had the power to keep jest from harm. jes who is a gift to the world. and she messed up. also the book was slow. and i’m just annoyed now.

oh my god. okay so i didn’t know that this was like a prequel of the queen of hearts story and i see it now. i’m so sad that jest is dead, but oh my god this all makes so much SENSE. ugh that was a good read. i’m HEARTBROKEN. but it was a good read. thank you and good fucking night.

cath went to the theatre with the stupid king. she left halfway through and was talking to jest when the JABBERWOCK ATTACKED THEM. cath snapped her ankle and raven nudged her to use jest’s hat and she pulled out a sword. then she stood up and faced the jabberwock and it got scared and dipped. jest took her away to the treacle well and she drank from it and her ankle healed. YAY i need them to get together tysm

okay so her parents SHAT on her bakery idea. EVEN HER FATHER!!! i expected more from him. oh and don’t get me started on hatta. mans was so mean about rejecting her proposition of a loan. i cried. i actually teared up bc he was so mean wtf. ouch. big ouch.

JEST JUST TOLD CATH THAT HE HAS FEELINGS FOR HER AND IF SHE REFUSES THE KINGSS PROPOSAL THEN HE WILL CALL ON HER OR HER FATHER TO PROPOSE. AND APPARENTLY THE POSITION OF A JOKER IN CHESS IS THE SAME POSITION AS A MARQUESS IN HEARTS. JAKSJSJS PLS I NEED THEM TO END UP TOGETHER.

okay so cath and mary anne went to the peter guys pumpkin farm to get a pumpkin for the contest and he told them to leave. BUT they found a pony carousel when they were stealing a pumpkin and the lion that saved cath from the jabberwock was wearing the pony carousel hat when he was taken. and the peter guy was building a pumpkin cage for something. I HAVE A HUNCH THAT HE SUMMONED THE JABBERWOCK L

the jabberwock attacked them while they were having a tea party. the lion saved cath from the jabberwock :( jest got her back home safely and cath told him it was fun but it could never happen again. he left and the king is sending her a SHIT TON of gifts bc she’s avoiding him. she saw the baking contest flyer and now she’s thinking of joining so she can get the money for the bakery!!! EEEEE

i love cath’s love for baking and I HOPE SHE DOESNT MARRY THE KING BC YIKES mans reminds me of lord farquad. also JEST is mYsTeriOus and funny LMAO and i can’t wait to read more about him. also she asked the duke to lease mr. caterpillars shop to her and KDJSKS i really want her to have that bakery pls and ty.
