- Monkeys are never a good sign!

- The shrieking seems like the worst part.

- Human-like they may be, Katniss apparently has zero issues killing monkeys.

Orange fur? Were they orangutans in the book? Clyde would never.

Clyde would never."In the book, Katniss say she's never seen monkeys before, so I think it's safe to assume that if they probably were orangutans, and she didn't know better than to call them monkeys. Or else, they're muttations, as she guesses, and just an altered version of monkey.
Also seems strange how Katniss, a girl from a poor district has almost no problem killing people. She even considered killing Finnick so much. Maybe she looks at them like prey. Which she hunts.

People from poorer, more rural backgrounds are often tasked with hunting and otherwise killing their own food, people she doesn't know are just another step up, particularly when people she loves are at stake.
She was very hesitant to kill people in the first book. But I think that's worn off to some degree this second time around, now that she's a veteran of the game.

I think Katniss is fine killing people after she killed Marvel... Well after Marvel killed Rue and the rule is kill or to be killed right? So if you want to survive then killing humans/animals is one of the option ofc. And I agree with Sakshi, I'm not scared of monkey but i don't want to be around them because they almost steal my camera once!

All your inhibitions and compunctions go out the window for the sake of survival. Same thing with monkeys... once monkeys enter the picture, all bets are off :)
Uh-huh, exactly. Even though the person is surrender, they sure didn't want to die because they get killed, not that terrible. A little peaceful will be good😁
