Oh, dear. So many things I don't like. I think this is going to be a 1.5 or 2 star book...😔 I'm kinda sad, because I really wanted to like it, but there are so many things about it I don't. Like a whole list.

So far the only thing (yes only one thing) I like it that some of the Hindi words have some similarities to Arabic ones so I can compare.Here are some I found:
kameez(قميس) dress shirt
Shakkar-in arabic sukkar(سكر)sugar
Chai(شاي) Tea
Also I'm having trouble using Google translate as the hindi words are written in english letters(I use that term loosley),so sometimes it doesn't work.Any tips?

5 pages in and I can already tell a thesaurus was used to make the writing seem more advanced.
Here are some words that are said, that I have never heard in a conversation, or ever to be quite frank:
nary
acerbic
surreptitious
Anyways, let me know if you're ever heard of any of these words, because I surely have not. So either im dumb, or my theory about a thesaurus being used is correct.

Haven't started yet but I just want to say:
Putting real life people on the cover of books should be considered a crime against humanity.
I don't want to be mean, but this cover is not it.
Also Im kind of scared of what I will think of this. I see a few 1 and 2 stat rating from people I'm friends with or follow. But I am really excited to read a book with South Asian rep, so I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Riverdale was such a wack show ,that I litterly could not explain the plot if I wanted, but it was the first thing that popped in my head 😂 I find this scene so hilarious, for reasons I cannot explain. I don't care about the show much. I think I stopped watching it somewhere around the second season. But I liked the character dynamics and yes that scene was funny in a non funny way😂😂. And that whole "not like other girls" thing has become too common to be unique.😂

And that wh..."Yeah I think I also stopped after the first 2 or 3 seasons, it just started to really double down on being pure trash, instead of good trash, lmao, and your totally right, it's funny in a non funny way 😂. Also I am a big hater for a the "not like other girls" trope, and I hate how common it has become. 😒 I don't know why you have to compare a girl to others and present them on a lower pedestal, to put an emphasis on the strength or intelligence of our character.
