Hunt and Bryce didn't start as enemies, Hunt somehow understood and forgave her and became completely infatuated with her by lust. Bryce was never described as kind, a glimpse of her past and how she handled her problems only showed that she was strong and sassy. Their relationship was built on attraction and lust thus they both shared deepest part of themselves because they couldn't deny the mutual desire.
