I've been sneaking around this book for so long but couldn't decide on buying it. Is it worth a read?

It's a quick and interesting book. It tells a number of interleaved short stories, and all of them feel unique and shed light on a different corner of Egyptian life. I'd say it's probably a 3-4 star book, depending on your level of interest in Egyptian culture. It is certainly well written.

Thanks for your opinion, David. Egyptian life and culture is quite interesting. I haven't read any books of the Arabian cultural circle so far but I'd like to delve into it.
