I do not like Elizabeth.

Lily’s Effexor withdrawal is so incredibly specific; it’s something I’ve experienced myself, and it makes me wonder if it’s something Mandel has also experienced herself, or if she researched such a small detail...I mean, that’s what authors do, but perhaps because it’s something I’ve been through, it felt very personal.

I’m excited and nervous to get back to Jeevan.

this book’s chapters are so short, it’s hard to put down...”just one more chapter” turns into several! I’m enjoying reading about Clark, but I’m ready to find out what’s going on with Kirsten. of course, I have a feeling they’ll intersect soon

I liked Miranda and am sad she died. I’m 100% suspicious the prophet is Tyler (I’ve thought this for awhile now but forgot to mention it)

I got my wish! more Jeevan. I’m trying to figure out how his obit was published in the last issue of the NYT if he’s already lived 50 days into the pandemic; surely the NYT has already ceased publishing?

deep down I knew he would pass, but...I don’t want him to. ah.

meanwhile, although I don’t like his infidelity, I can’t say I dislike Arthur

I’m really freaked out by there being NO TRACE of the Traveling Symphony. is Kirsten hallucinating? I’d be really disappointed if that were the case. my gut tells me it isn’t, but...how did a group of that size disappear without a trace?

also, give me more Jeevan content immediately
