Jayson is on page 69 of 176

Notes:
(1) Yep... I'm definitely not hipster enough for this level of indie.
(2) So, the mysteries in this mystery series have become a kind of scavenger hunt for anecdotes about various characters.
- Sounds like tabloid journalism to me.
(3) Most of these stories don't have a point. They just seem like excuses to draw characters in funny situations, in specific art styles.

Jayson’s Previous Updates

Jayson
Jayson is on page 132 of 176

Notes:
(1) The degree of hipster required to appreciate this level of indie only increases.
(2) Of the many short stories I've read so far, I've finally come across a good one!
(3) My problem with this collection is many of the contributors have obviously never read this comic. It's mostly generic stories with the characters plugged in. Very little's specific to the series.

Jayson
Jayson is on page 27 of 176

Notes:
(1) The main interior art style's shifted from Disney to Nickelodeon.
(2) The conceit of this volume is that the kids are putting together the school yearbook, and the many short stories are their reminiscences. Except that the content's new, this totally sounds like a sitcom clip show.
(3) It's about to get all indie up in here. I may not be hipster enough for this.

Notes:
(1) They changed up the art team for this volume, which I'm not a fan of once a title's established a signature look. But, at least the covers are consistent.
(2) Flipping through, I can see this is mostly made of short stories by a total of 25 guest writers and artists. To me that just screams a lack of direction. Alternatively, it's a holding pattern until Rebirth.

♡ Dakota ♡ (Sarcasm is my middle name) @Jayson Jayson, you got to find your inner hipster! But no really as someone who is still young enough to be considered in “hipster age” I have no idea exactly what makes a hipster a hipster. Sorry you don’t seem to be enjoying this much :(

Thanks, Dakota! I appreciate it. I'm not so deep into this to write it off entirely at this point. There could still be some gems among the remaining stories :)

I suppose if I had to define "hipster," I say they're young people who model their fashion and personal interests after trends considered outside the cultural mainstream. In other words, they take pleasure in seeming niche. But individual definitions may vary. 🧔🏻👍🏻

Batman makes several appearances in the first volume. Robin and several Batman villains appear throughout the series.
