Notes:
(1) The big tease at the end of the last volume was that Damian Wayne (Robin) would be attending Gotham Academy. Well, that only lasted an issue, and I have no idea why he enrolled in the first place.
(2) There's two distinct styles of art here. Karl Kerschl's very Disney animation style art, and Mingjue Helen Chen's sort of storybook CGI style. I prefer the former.

Notes:
(1) The new "Harley Quinn" cartoon is screwing up the voices in my head. Clayface makes an appearance, and I know he's supposed to sound fearsome, but in my head he's totally hamming it up!
(2) The writing's not so sharp in this one. The individual situations are interesting, but everything ultimately devolves into Scooby Doo.
(3) Man cannot live on cuteness alone...

Notes:
(1) Supernatural love triangle? Teenage super-genius? Dead parents? Female lead with zero personality? They are going for all the YA tropes.
(2) The love interest, Kyle, is on the tennis team, and wears his uniform all the time. Geez, I get it, he plays tennis. You don't see Harry Potter wearing Quidditch robes all the time.
(3) Rainy funeral is so "Vampire Diaries".

Notes:
(1) The natural comparison for this series would be "Batgirl," which similarly is co-written by Brenden Fletcher, and went YA and manga-influenced to capture the teenage girl demo. This is better. "Batgirl" was too in-your-face about it. This hits that sort of "Kim Possible" sweet-spot of witty juvenility, where it's made for kids, but adults can appreciate it too.
