In the novel so far they have been in Sea City for over a week and visited the beach, boardwalk, and minigolf coarse. Mary Ann is mad at Stacy because she feels like she’s the only one really watching the kids. Mary Ann is caring because when she’s babysitting she’ll play with the kids that are left out and and will always help someone if needed.

In the novel the everyone in the babysitters club are on vacation, and won’t see each other for 2 weeks except for Stacy, Mary Ann, and Mallory. They are in Sea City together but babysitting, but while they are at the beach Stacy catches her eye on a lifeguard. I connect with Mallory because when I go on family vacations I usually end up watching over everyone.
