(1) Tonks: "Are you mad, Mad-Eye?"
- Well, it's in the name. Though it could just be the eye that's mad.
(2) House elf heads line the hallway of Sirius' place. Awfully macabre... though muggle taxidermy is common, so is placing urns on mantles.
(3) Ron and Hermione spend the summer mostly alone in bedrooms together... wonder what they do all day?

(1) Well, I'm nearly finished with this. Now I've got to hunker down and write my review. I simultaneously hate writing reviews but love finishing reviews. It's like exercise, and Harry Potter reviews are especially stressful and demanding on account of the extra attention.

(1) "Cornelius, I am ready to fight your men — and win again!"
- Dumbledore giving orders to Fudge while still an enemy of the state is one of the series most boss moments.
(2) Phineas Nigellus: "You see, Dumbledore? ... Never try to understand the students. They hate it. They would much rather be tragically misunderstood..."
- A bit cynical, but he's not incorrect.

(1) Neville: "A brain attacked Ron but I think he’s all right — and Hermione’s unconscious, but we could feel a pulse —"
- You'd think all the time fighting with Hermione would have better prepared Ron to fight another brain.
(2) Voldemort calls Bellatrix "Bella"... wonder if he's a "Twilight" fan?
(3) It's easy to forget that people still think Sirius is a murderer.

(2) Harry: "How come Voldemort wants it?"
Bellatrix: "You dare speak his name?"
Harry: "Yeah."
- Good answer, Harry. Very forthright.
(3) Ron: "Accio brain!"
- C'mon, Ron, you've already got brains.

(1) Hermione treats Luna like McGonagall treats Trelawney. With open disdain at the mere mention of absurdities, but with affection and friendship when faced against a common enemy.
(2) Harry, Luna and Neville being the only ones who can hear voices behind the veiled archway should have been a light bulb moment, since they're also the only ones who can see thestrals.

(1) Ron: "What’ve you done with Umbridge?"
Harry: "She got carried away."

a security troll, so —"
Ginny: "I’ve got a broom!"

(1) '"What did you call us?" shouted a wild-looking black centaur, whom Harry recognized as Bane.'
- Bane? I bet he was born in the darkness.
- In my head he's voiced by Tom Hardy.
(2) "Real tears [slid] down [Hermione's] face now. “We haven’t done anything to hurt you ... we just want to go back to school.”
- Of course she wants to go back to school, she's Hermione.

Notes:
(1) Hermione loves elves but hates giants... a bit hypocritical if you ask me. Also ironic since nearly every elf hates her, but Grawp adores her.
(2) 'Harry raised his wand, looked directly at Umbridge, and imagined her being sacked.
"Expecto Patronum!"'
- Sure, that's a happy thought... though, if it were me, I'd add some sort of humiliation to make it extra happy.

Good thing I wasn't taking a drink when I got to that bit about Ron & Hermione, cause I totally would have snorted it & choked 😂😆🙉

Though, I'll admit, spitting drinks is my favorite reaction to anything I write... conversely, choking would be my least favorite reaction :)
btw, the answer is "cleaning." Which naturally leads to the question, what do they talk about all day as they "clean?" or if "cleaning" is actually cleaning 😁
Well you very nearly were successful in making me spit mine 😜 You have an eye for spotting something & making it hilarious, as well as pointing out how...amusing... the series can actually be in the background if you know to look for it 👀🔎 I just love seeing this updates 😁And omg...I would love to be a fly on the wall to hear what they're talking about while cleaning 😆 Although, more than likely it would be something dull, like Hermione lecturing him to study harder in classes in the coming school year so she doesn't have to help with his homework lol 😉

That's nice of you to say. I'm thrilled you're enjoying the updates. Listening to the audiobook, it's easy to pick up little tidbits like that, which might otherwise be glossed over if read in text. Another part of it is committing to daily updates and having to think of points that people might find interesting.
As for what they talk about whilst cleaning, your guess is as good as mine. Possibly it's about study habits, possibly it's about Harry, possibly it's about Order rumors, possibly it's actually about cleaning. 🤷♂️😄
Trust me while reading this book l never gave a second thought about Ron and Hermoine spending time alone 😆But now while re reading l am gonna see their relation in an entire new light😂
I don't think I will ever forget this update of yours 😂😁

Happy to hear that, Mrinmayi! Glad I could put things in a new perspective for you 😁👍
What's your favorite HP book so far? Most people say it's this one but I remember not liking it much cause of Harry's whining but maybe I should reread it?
Heather wrote: "What's your favorite HP book so far? Most people say it's this one but I remember not liking it much cause of Harry's whining but maybe I should reread it?"From what I've seen, I think most people say "Prisoner of Azkaban" is their favorite. But that could just be my impression of it.
My favorite book in the series always changes with every reread. I've read the books several times, and this was my favorite my last time around. Before that it was "Half-Blood Prince." So, I'd say for now it's this one, but that will likely change after it's all said and done :)

Really? Why Prisoner of Azkaban do you know? Do you think I should reread Order of the Phoenix? I haven't read it since I was young so maybe it would be better now?
Heather wrote: "Really? Why Prisoner of Azkaban do you know? Do you think I should reread Order of the Phoenix? I haven't read it since I was young so maybe it would be better now?"I think because the last four books may be too dark for some people, and also none of them are standalones – they don't resolve in and of themselves are really four continuing parts of one long story. "Prisoner of Azkaban," however, is a standalone story, and of the first three books it's objectively the best one, having the most developed story, and hitting the sweet-spot between the decidedly middle-grade first two books, and the very dark and serious last four. So, that's why I think it's most people's favorite.
As for whether you should re-read "Order of the Phoenix," I think if you're going to do a re-read, you should at least read the last four since, as I said, they're really four parts of one story. I mean, you could reread it, but it would be like just reading a part 2 of something. That said, I wouldn't discourage you from just reading this if you're inclined to do so :)

Great answer! Well, my favorite was always The Goblet of Fire because that's just before things get really dark!
Jayson wrote: "Tahera wrote: "Yeah the 3rd point.... good thing I am sober 👀.""
This professor definitely knew a thing about getting one un-sobered😂 😂.
Heather wrote: "Great answer! Well, my favorite was always The Goblet of Fire because that's just before things get really dark!"Thanks, Heather! "Goblet of Fire" is always in the mix as far as my favorite goes, it's always either first or second for me. You're right that it's the last time the books were really bright and shiny, before everything got serious. Though, I will say the big death at the end was probably one of the darkest parts of the entire series.
Tahera wrote: "This professor definitely knew a thing about getting one un-sobered😂 😂."Definitely, no pumpkin juice or butterbeer for him, only the best oak-matured mead. I'd expect nothing less from a potions' master 😵🍷😁👍

Davina wrote: ""Ron and Hermione spend the summer mostly alone in bedrooms together... wonder what they do all day?"JAYSON OH MY GOD"
Lol. Well, it's true. 100% factual statement there. btw, what they do all day turns out to be cleaning, whatever "cleaning" means... which is probably just making the place habitable again 😊🧼🧹🧽
